Preparation for use
Before using for the first time, wash the baking tray by hand in mild detergent, rinse well and dry carefully. Lubricate the baking side with vegetable oil and put the baking tray in a hot oven (approx. 230 °C) for one hour. Allow the tray to cool in the oven. The treating with oil can also be done later, particularly if the tray needs washing.
Instructions for use
Put the baking tray on the middle shelf of the oven and set the oven to 250–275°C. Pre-heat the baking tray in the oven for at least 30 minutes. Place the pizza base with its toppings on the baking tray and bake until the toppings are cooked. Keep an eye on the pizza as it bakes, because it will be ready quickly. Tip: Towards the end of the baking process, you can try turning on the oven’s grill to get an even crisper result. You can use a pizza spade paddle to move the pizza. Do not cut the pizza while it is on the baking tray. You can also bake cookies or bread on the baking tray. Heat only the baking tray and follow the recipe normally. You can bake either directly on the baking tray or use baking paper or an oven shelf on top of the tray.
Care instructions
After the first wash, the baking tray no longer requires washing. Wipe any dirt and grease with a cloth or burn it away in the oven. If, however, you wish to wash the tray, do it as for the first wash: wash, rinse, dry carefully and treat with an oil. It is important to dry the baking tray and to store it in a dry place to prevent it from rusting.
