Zeolites are minerals made mainly of aluminum oxides and silicon oxides that form loose structures with numerous channels and chambers. ZeoMAX PLUS is a natural zeolite that is used for chemical filtration of water. It has the form of a gravel made of carefully selected zeolite ensuring a very high sorption capacity. These spaces can be freely filled by the water that moves inside them, which contains various ions. As a result, ZeoMAX PLUS has enormous sorption capacity: it absorbs and binds various types of chemical pollutants - nitrogen compounds, heavy metals and other substances hazardous to fish.

ZeoMAX Plus is a unique cartridge intended for chemical filtration of water in freshwater aquariums, paludariums, aquaterrariums and terrarium pools. It absorbs toxic nitrogen compounds dissolved in it. It captures ammonia from water, and also binds and neutralizes nitrite and nitrate ions dissolved in it. It protects fish against harmful nitrogenous substances and allows to limit the size and frequency of water changes.

Before commissioning, remove the sticker, rinse the insert and lubricate the seal with silicone grease. In order to ensure optimal results, it is recommended to place the ZeoMAX Plus cartridge behind the mechanical filtration cartridges and in front of the biological filtration cartridges.

The way the ZeoMAX Plus cartridge works (sorption) causes that it is gradually filled and worn out. In order to maintain optimal filtration properties, it should be replaced at least every 4 weeks.
