Get the Most out of All Your Cores
AMD's HEDT platform raises the stakes with the latest AMD 3rd Gen Ryzen™ Threadripper™ processors that boast more cores and higher bandwidth than ever before. Prime TRX40-Pro S is ready for the additional processing power that plows through intensive tasks such as 3D rendering and video editing, and the extra bandwidth allows you to add multiple graphics cards and NVMe SSDs to accelerate your productivity.
Robust Power Design
The new AMD Socket sTRX4 is compatible with 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen Threadripper CPUs with up to 64 cores, up to 64 PCIe 4.0 lanes, and 280-watt thermal design power (TDP). Such specifications require serious power, so Prime TRX40-Pro S is equipped with an enhanced power solution that includes 16 power stages to ensure your processor keeps up with your creativity.

Tune It Your Way
Comprehensive controls form the foundation of the ASUS Prime series. Prime TRX40-Pro S packs flexible tools to tune every aspect of your system, enabling you to tweak performance settings to perfectly match the way you work – maximizing your productivity.
5-Way Optimization
One click takes care of all that complex tuning. ASUS 5-Way Optimization makes your PC smart. It dynamically optimizes essential aspects of the system, providing overclocking and cooling profiles that are tailored for your rig.
- An automated tuning utility that optimizes overclocking and cooling profiles for your unique system configuration.
- Fans stay quiet as a whisper for everyday computing, and deliver optimal airflow when the system is crunching through CPU- or GPU-intensive tasks.
- The stress test allows you to optimize and overclock for CPU- or memory-centric workloads.
CPU Performance Boost
The TurboV Processing Unit (TPU) is the intelligence behind our automated system-tuning utility, offering the ability to fine-tune voltages, monitor system stats, and adjust overclock parameters for optimal performance.
All-Around Energy Efficiency
With the Energy Processing Unit (EPU), you'll enjoy system-wide power savings. The EPU automatically optimizes power consumption and maximizes savings with the Away mode.
Flexible Cooling Controls for Air or Liquid
With Prime TRX40-Pro S, you have comprehensive control over fans via Fan Xpert 4 or UEFI. Whether you're cooling with air or water, Auto-Tuning mode intelligently configures all parameters with a single click. There's also an Extreme Quiet mode, which reduces all fan speeds to below the default minimum – keeping your system quiet as a whisper when performing light tasks.
Precise Digital Power Control
The Digi+ voltage-regulator module (VRM) delivers a real-time control over voltages, switching frequency and power-efficiency settings, allowing you to fine-tune your CPU for ultimate stability and performance.
App-Specific Optimization
Turbo App allows you to define CPU overclocking, apply fan profiles, prioritize network data and optimize audio setting at app level, meaning your system is perfectly optimized for what you're doing.
Little Things Make a Big Difference
We pay careful attention to all the little details that improve your overall experience, from utilizing exclusive codecs for pristine audio quality to intuitive RGB lighting controls for a customized look. Prime TRX40-Pro S provides the tools you need to personalize your build for a more enjoyable creation process.
