The World’s Most Secure Android Smartphones
You wouldn’t put money in a bank that didn’t lock its safe. Or leave the doors of your home unlocked at night. Having a smartphone that doesn’t take your privacy seriously is the equivalent. The DTEK60™ and DTEK50™ ensure that how you share the private details of your life—your location, your pictures, your texts—is your decision. Not all smartphones are equally secure. With the DTEK series of smartphones, you have built in armor protecting your personal information.
Fully Android
DTEK60 and DTEK50 come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, giving you full access to Google Play, home screen widgets, Google Now™, and the ability to easily connect to the things you use every day like your TV, car and connected systems in your house.
Not all Smartphones are
Equally Secure
Your smartphone is an extension of your life and the people you share it with. Pictures of your kids. Where you live and work. The things you do together. These are very private details that should be kept safe.
With an NFC “bump”, bank info can be stolen. With malware, family pictures can be downloaded. It’s scary, but this does happen on other phones. With the DTEK series of Android smartphones, you don’t have to worry about this happening to you.
DTEK by BlackBerry App
Security can seem complicated, but DTEK series smartphones make it simple for you. The DTEK™ by BlackBerry® for Android™ app will automatically monitor your OS and apps and let you know when your privacy could be at risk and how you can take action to improve it. With just a quick glimpse you can see the overall security rating for your device—excellent, fair or poor—and what you can do to improve it. DTEK also tracks your applications and notifies you when someone is:
Updating the Security of Your Device - Long After You Purchase it
Many popular smartphones put the user’s private information at risk of being hacked due to slow security updates. BlackBerry has a record of being the quickest to deliver security patches. Other smartphones can take weeks, months or even years to deliver security patches, leaving you vulnerable and at risk. So even though you can’t see it, know that extra precautions are taken at both the hardware and software level to protect the DTEK series from malicious tampering.
Work and Play
As the company that put email on phones, BlackBerry knows a thing or two about how to make productivity on a smartphone effortless. Whether it’s integrating all your email, text and social messages into one place, or giving you a really smart keyboard, everything you do on your DTEK60 or DTEK50 is intuitive and efficient
Dazzling Photo Quality
Whether you’re looking to capture a selfie or the moment around you, DTEK series smartphones are engineered to deliver professional looking photos. Take the perfect selfie with a front facing camera with an LED flash, or capture the moment with the dazzling auto-focus rear camera.
The camera is equipped with a range of professional settings including live colour filters and manual controls. Plus, features like Phase Detection Auto Focus and a dual-tone LED flash are designed to help the camera focus instantly and accurately for blur-free, realistic looking photos, even in low light.
Scratch-resistant Screen
The DTEK60 and DTEK50 each have a stunning display, made of scratch-resistant glass with a specialized Oleophobic coating to protect against fingerprint smudges. The DTEK60 sports an incredible pixel density that’s 4x the amount of pixels of a standard HDTV. And because the display is AMOLED, it delivers richer colors and deeper black levels with less power consumption.
BlackBerry for Your Enterprise
There are phones that say they are secure and then there are phones that live and breathe security. Put your trust in BlackBerry, used by thousands of companies and governments around the world to securely enable business on mobile.
The DTEK series of Android smartphones come ready to work. Android support enables for fast, simple and secure integration with your enterprise environment. Google Play™ for Work enables easy access to IT managed apps. BlackBerry offers a one-stop shop for the most comprehensive mobility package—the world’s most secure smartphones and BlackBerry Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solutions. It’s a powerful combination that will enable your business and employees to achieve amazing results.
Hardware Root of Trust
Security was built into the DTEK series from the start, rather than layering on defenses after production. Its manufacturing process establishes a hardware root of trust, a proprietary technique that adds security keys to the processor on DTEK60 and DTEK50 as they are built. Those keys are then used to track, verify, and provision each DTEK series smartphone, meaning that the authenticity and integrity of your device is guaranteed, as is the safety of the data it holds.
A Better Bootloader
When a user boots up their device, it’s important that they’re able to trust that only a BlackBerry signed OS can be loaded and it hasn’t been tampered with since the last restart. That’s where the secure boot process comes in on the DTEK series. Starting with the hardware Root of Trust, each stage of the secure boot chain must first verify that the next component is fully intact before proceeding.
