Exceptional speed, power, and performance elevate the ROG Strix SCAR 15/17 to the top tier of Windows 10 Pro gaming. The latest 10th Gen Intel® Core™ i9 processors and powerful GeForce® RTX™ graphics saturate the cutting-edge 300Hz/3ms gaming panel that takes you to the next frontier of pro esports speed. Intelligent Cooling innovations like liquid metal compound on the CPU raise the bar on peak performance. Ultrafast Wi-Fi 6 networking and two SSDs in RAID 0 accelerate your workflows, while a slot for a third SSD makes storage upgrades easy.
Focused Performance
Sleek aesthetics take the ROG Strix SCAR 15/17 to the next level. Inspired by our collaboration with BMW Designworks Group, this powerful gaming laptop keeps a low profile, blending in at work or at play. Subtle cyber-text patterning adds a futuristic flair to the deck. Hidden scissor-door hinges stabilize the display that’s framed with slim bezels for expansive viewing. For the full RGB experience, turn on the Aura Sync lighting to illuminate the gaming keyboard and wrap-around light bar.
Game at 300Hz
Play at the speed of professional esports with the world’s fastest gaming laptop display. The 300Hz/3ms panel enables true high-FPS gameplay for competitive gaming at the highest level. The ultrafast 300Hz refresh rate makes the flow of fast-paced action look impeccably smooth, while the 3ms grey-to-grey response time minimizes motion blur for precision target tracking. Get an edge in combat, where rapid response and environmental awareness are crucial to victory.
Power up with New Generation
Speed through work and play on a machine tailored to deliver triple-digit frame rates. ROG Boost takes the leading-edge GeForce® RTX 2080 SUPER™ GPU up to 1560MHz at 150W in Turbo mode for fast, fluid gameplay. The powerful 10th gen Intel® Core™ CPU paired with up to 32GB of DDR4-3200 RAM slices through intensive work and play. With 2 speedy M.2 NVMe SSDs running in RAID 0, loading times are accelerated across all your apps and games. Space for a third SSD means you can easily expand your storage and take your complete program library with you anywhere.
* DDR4-3200 RAM is limited to configurations equipped with an Intel® Core™ i7-10875H and up. Please check with local vendors for exact offers.
* Full DDR4-3200 support will be enabled by an automatic BIOS update in July 2020. Older BIOS versions can manually set the memory to 3200MHz, but the July update is recommended for maximum stability.
Liquid Metal Boosts Cooling
ROG's Intelligent Cooling philosophy mixes the right features and system settings to ensure the best experience for each situation. Performance is boosted with cutting-edge enhancements like liquid metal compound on the CPU and a well-ventilated exterior that keeps noise levels lower than the last generation. Special editions of the SCAR 17 add height to the chassis to facilitate superior performance from its uber powerful RTX 2080 SUPER GPU. ROG Armoury Crate software seamlessly switches between operating modes to optimize performance and acoustics for the task. Together, these innovations enable ROG Boost to raise GPU clocks by 100MHz over stock speeds.
Reliable Wi-Fi 6 Networking
Ultrafast Intel® Wi-Fi 6 with Gig+ (802.11ax) lets you game reliably at LAN speeds wherever compatible connections are available. Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+) enables a peak interface bandwidth up to 2.4Gbps*, with boosted network speed, efficiency, and reliability in crowded spaces. It also reduces latency, meaning less lag for network-sensitive activities like quick play matches on the go. ROG RangeBoost technology complements your Wi-Fi 6 by maximizing coverage. The unique RangeBoost algorithm evaluates the signal strength of four internal antennas and picks the best pair to use for your location, minimizing dead spots and increasing range by up to 30%.
* Unless otherwise stated, Wi-Fi speeds are based on theoretical performance. Actual performance may vary.
Introducing Keystone II
Keystone II offers a versatile new way to personalize your machine and protect your personal data. These physical, NFC-enabled keys fit neatly into the Strix SCAR 15/17’s chassis, adding a subtle accent along the trim. When docked, Keystones can unlock access to personalized settings that transform your machine, quick-launch apps or games of your choice, reveal a hidden Shadow Drive for covert private storage, and more.
AURA SYNC LETS YOUR PERSONALITY SHINE
Get a competitive edge in esports on a durable keyboard designed for precise play. Stay focused on the game with spaced function keys for easy identification, and gaming hot keys for fast access to vital commands. Built to withstand over 20 million keypresses, this laptop has the durability for a long lifetime of serious gaming. The whole keyboard is augmented with per-key RGB lighting that lets you highlight your own time-saving shortcuts. Aura Sync lets you coordinate your keyboard lighting across an entire ecosystem of compatible devices.
* Per-key customization requires Aura Creator. Specifications vary by model.
Richer Sound
Immersive, side-firing speakers put you in the thick of the action. Smart Amp technology monitors audio output and makes real-time adjustments to keep the speakers within thermal and excursion limits, preventing damage to the cones. The resulting sound has less noise distortion, higher dynamic range, more bass, and significantly higher potential output. Pump up the volume and hear every enemy movement, firefight, and environmental audio cue in the game.
Comprehensive Connectivity
Hook up your devices and hop in-game quickly. Get blazing fast transfers at Gen 2 speeds via the USB 3.2 Type-C™ with DisplayPort™ 1.4, or connect a G-SYNC™ monitor* for silky smooth gaming. Three Type-A USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports are ready for your favorite gaming gear, while HDMI 2.0b allows you to enjoy movies and games on a 4K monitor or TV at up to 60Hz. Integrated Gigabit Ethernet boasts lower networking latency for competitive multiplayer gaming, complementing the built-in Wi-Fi.
* G-SYNC™ is only supported via USB Type-C.
Armoury Crate
ROG Armoury Crate unifies system and lighting controls to put essential settings at your fingertips in a single utility. You can easily define and customize Scenario Profiles that automatically make adjustments when you launch your favorite titles. Pairing these customizations with the new ROG Keystone lets you quickly load your fine-tuned settings.
