Create without limits
The Dell Precision mobile workstations excel under demanding standards. With the latest Intel® processors, NVIDIA® professional graphics and Dell Precision Optimizer, they focus power and speed behind your biggest ideas.
The power to perfect
Never slow down: The latest Intel® Core™ or Intel® Xeon® processors, with up to 8-cores, available with Error Correcting Code (ECC) memory, combined with Dell Precision Optimizer, deliver the focused power you need to stay productive anywhere.
Top memory speed: Choose the amount of memory you need with up to 64GB of 3200MHz SuperSpeed memory or 128GB of 2666MHz SuperSpeed memory.
Revolutionary graphics: Easily handle complex data-intensive workflows with next generation AMD Radeon Pro™ and NVIDIA Quadro® RTX professional graphics.
The capacity for more: There are no limits to your work. This 17” workstation features (4x) PCle NVMe or (3x) PCIe NVMe and (1x) 2.5” HDDs (up to 8TB).
Extended power: Get up to a 97Whr battery that features ExpressCharge and outstanding battery life, so you can get up and running quickly, and stay productive on the job no matter where you need to be.
Work beyond barriers
Visual vivacity: View your projects with complete clarity with an UltraSharp UHD IGZO (100% Adobe color gamut) display and a new optional aluminum LCD cover.
Create your reality: Build fully immersive VR and AI content with next generation AMD Radeon Pro or NVIDIA Quadro® RTX professional graphics and powerful performance normally found only in tower workstations.
Take work with you: Designed with premium materials and starting at just 3.08 kg (6.79 lbs), the 17" Precision 7740 is the thinnest and lightest mobile workstation in its class.
Stays cool. Works hard: A revolutionary cooling system with dual fans improves airflow and keeps your system cool under heavy workloads.
Stay connected: With single cable docking and Thunderbolt™ 3 connectivity, large file transfers are quick and easy, so your productivity remains high.
Stay secure and productive
Seamless sign on: The optional Windows Hello fingerprint reader ensures that you and only you can access your work. Simply place your finger on the sensor and just like that, you’re ready to take on the next task. Or upgrade to the Windows Hello IR Camera and sign on with one look.
Precision, meet privacy: A new feature for Precision workstations, a camera shutter ensures others can’t see you through the lens. You can now manually close the shutter for privacy or open it when you want to video conference or take photos.
Dell Reliable Memory Technology Pro: Protects your work from potential crashes related to memory errors. Working in conjunction with ECC memory it detects and corrects or maps out memory errors in real time. RMT Pro also monitors the health of the memory and alerts you when memory is at a critical level and needs to be replaced.
