One less thing to worry about
Thanks to the ThinkShutter, optional touch fingerprint reader and IR camera, the ThinkPad L490 is designed with security in mind. It's also very configurable and will make your employees’ lives easier with up to a 12-hour battery life and seamless performance.
Makes light of heavy work
With up to 8th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 processing (plus Intel® vPro™ technology for advanced security and manageability), the ThinkPad L490 can plow through almost any task. Yet it has a starting weight of under 1.7kg (3.72lbs) and options that include solid-state drive storage, AMD Radeon™ discrete graphics, and 14"multitouch display.
Designed to go places
With up to 12 hours of battery, the ThinkPad L490 will last all day. When running low on power, rapid-charging technology will give you 80% battery capacity in just 60 minutes. In addition, the optional backlit keyboard—with white LEDs—allows you to work in low-light conditions.
One well-connected machine
The ThinkPad L490 comes with plenty of ports, including HDMI and USB-C. When you’re out and about, stay online even when there’s no WiFi. Choose the optional LTE-A card and the WWAN technology lets your laptop function like a smartphone—where there’s cellular service you can always jump online, and you can trust that your connection is secure.
Log in easily & securely
Why type a password? Thanks to the optional touch fingerprint reader and infrared camera, logging in is quick and secure—via advanced biometric technology and Windows Hello facial software. Plus, with ThinkShutter, you can close the webcam when it's not in use.
Technology you can count on
Like all ThinkPad laptops, the ThinkPad L490 is tested against 12 military-grade requirements and more than 200 quality checks to ensure it runs in extreme conditions. From desert dust storms to the Arctic wilderness, from spills and drops to zero gravity, you can rely on the ThinkPad L490 to handle anything that comes your way.
