The RF 50mm F1.8 STM is a compact and highly versatile RF prime lens capable of high quality images. The wide aperture gives this lens excellent low-light prowess which means you’ll be able to keep it on your camera all day long, even when light levels drop. With a fixed 50 mm focal length offering a neutral perspective and remarkable close focusing to capture details close at hand, you’ll soon discover new creative possibilities and take your photography to a whole new level. The lens is small, light and quiet thanks to a redesign of optics for its RF mount and STM motor and is ideal for advancing your skills as a photographer.
Benefits

Create artistic and impactful images at lower ISO thanks to a wide f/1.8 aperture that achieves sharp focus on a subject yet delivers a beautiful blurred background
The STM (Stepping Motor) technology focuses very smoothly and in near-silence, ideal for stills and video whilst the Super Spectra Coating on the lens elements ensure quality
At 160 g and 40.5 mm, it is a highly compact and lightweight partner for your day-to-day shooting with EOS R-series cameras, with no adapter required
Very discreet with a combined focusing and control ring for intuitive control, the lens has a 7-blade circular aperture for superb bokeh effect and focuses to 0.3 m
The RF 50mm F1.8 STM offers an affordable way to explore greater creativity, and is a great choice for ambient light portraits with a natural, flattering perspective
