Height - RAVEN folding scooters with 145mm wheels are recommended for children from approx. 4 years to approx. 12 years. Larger folding scooters with 200mm wheels are recommended for both adults and children, from approx. 115cm (children from approx. 5 years old) to 180cm tall.
Steering wheel height adjustment - it is worth choosing a scooter with a steering wheel equipped with an adjustment system. Thanks to several levels of adjustment of the steering wheel, the scooter will 'grow' with the child and will be enough for several seasons.
Deck reinforcements (also known as deck) - all RAVEN scooters have longitudinal reinforcements at the bottom of the deck, which significantly increase the strength of the scooter - this is one of the main features that distinguish RAVEN scooters from the competition.
Wheel size - the most popular wheel sizes are 145mm and 200mm. Scooters with 145mm wheels are ideal for children from approx. 4 to approx. 12 years of age. The scooter is then safer due to the lower height of the platform from the ground, thanks to which the child is less tired. Wheels in size 200mm cope better with unevenness and allow you to achieve higher speeds than in the case of scooters with 145mm wheels.
Wheel material - in folding scooters, we distinguish the 3 most popular types of wheels: PVC, rubber and pumped. PVC wheels are hard, often noisy, often having problems with overcoming unevenness, their only advantage is the low price. RAVEN scooters are not equipped with this type of wheels. Rubber wheels are the most commonly used wheels on scooters. They are suitable for driving on surfaces with numerous irregularities. Inflatable wheels, on the other hand, are ideal for people who want to reduce the feeling of vibration to a minimum, and the compensation of unevenness is much better than that provided by shock absorbers in scooters.
Platform width - scooters with a wider platform are safer for the child, it is easier for the child to put their feet on the platform while riding.
Scooter weight - the lower the weight, the easier the ride, which is especially important for children. All smaller RAVEN scooters with 145mm wheels weigh only about 2.6kg, thanks to this, despite the additionally reinforced platform, they are among the lightest and stiffest constructions.
