Better photographs with no fuss and a beautiful camera to take them on. Take your photography to a new level with the Olympus PEN E-PL9 and share your favourite shots with ease thanks to the built-in WiFi that links seamlessly to your smartphone. It’s your turn: Stop taking snaps. Start taking photos.

People tell me I am creative and I need a camera that lets me express what I feel. I love the intuitive feel of the E-PL9 which has allowed me to grow in confidence. Auto took the strain to start with as the camera is so clever but now I use the touch screen to access the many creative options. I can produce large prints of my paintings as the quality is more than a match for much bulkier models.

No matter how beautiful an outfit looks – if it doesn't feel good, it's not the one. The same applies to cameras. I focus on details and noticed how the leather feel materials have been moulded to the camera in real harmony, giving the simple yet classic design a highly sophisticated look. It has to work too: simple things like touching the subject on the screen to focus or take a shot, so easy. The controls of the E-PL9 feel great and are in all the right places, plus I can choose a colour to suit my style.

I am keen to learn more about what makes a great image and the E-PL9 helps me. What used to be buried in menus are now a touch away thanks to AP mode that lets me create dreamy multiple exposures or beautiful night shots. Additional lenses help my images stand out from the crowd. My portraits now have that professional background blur that is so much more authentic than the results from my phone thanks to the 45mm F1.8. There are even video “how to guides” accessible through the free OI.Share App.

If I get a great photograph of a friend I have to share it – now! That is easier than ever thanks to the WiFi connection between my E-PL9 and smartphone. I can even retrieve images from my camera when it is in my bag and post them via the free App. The outstanding image quality has helped my blog and Instagram channel grow.

Flashlight often gets a bad reputation but it can really make a good photograph in challenging lighting conditions. Shooting someone in front of a window or against sunlight? Use fill-in flash to caress a subject’s face. Flash can freeze movement when the overall situation is too dark to allow a faster shutter speed or it can highlight a subject in a night scene. The E-PL9 lets you control the amount of flash precisely to get the effect you want and becomes a real photo-saver.
