What is IPL and how does it work? IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. It’s a technology that uses warm gentle light to put hair to sleep. Light travels to the hair’s root causing the follicle to go into a resting phase and stimulating the hair to be released and gradually prevents it from growing back for up to six months**

Median hair reductions after 12 treatments: 78% on legs, 64% on bikini, 65% on armpits

Proven effectiveness
Objective studies show up to 92% hair reduction in as little as three treatments**.

Carry out the first four treatments every 2 weeks then touch-up every 4 weeks to maintain results. After just eight touch-ups you can enjoy hair-free smooth skin for 6 months*.

Suitable skin and hair types
Philips Lumea Prestige is suitable for naturally dark blonde, brown and black hair and for skin tones from very white to dark brown. Lumea is not suitable for treating red, blond, gray or white hair, or for very dark skin.
