Unlike ordinary neon tubes, cold light cathodes have a much longer life - they work extremely reliably up to 20 years! In addition, cold light cathodes provide a brighter light than neon tubes and do not heat up and are therefore the best choice if you refine the interior of the computer with special components that you want to set the scene accordingly outward.
This Revoltec product contains two 30 cm long cathodes with red light. The diameter of the tubes is about 1 cm. The cables of the cathodes are individually connected to a small black box, the inverter (inverter). This converts the direct current of the power supply into alternating current, which the cathodes require.
From the inverter itself, a cable goes off to a slot bracket, which is mounted in the rear of the PC case. On it a switch is attached, with which the lighting can be switched on and off. From the panel, the direct connection to the power supply is made, using a cable with 4-pin Molexstecker is used.
The cathodes and inverters are attached to the case via enclosed pads, which are self-adhesive on one side and have a velcro surface on the other. Thus, lights and converters can be removed at any time by Velcro and exchanged, for example, by other color variants.
