With the M1 Pro chip, the performance of the M1 architecture reaches a new level. The professional user has up to 10 CPU cores, up to 16 GPU cores, 16-core Neural Engine and dedicated media encoding and decoding engines that support H.264, HEVC and ProRes codecs. Such equipment can easily handle the most ambitious projects.
The new MacBook Pro is available in 14- and 16-inch models. Each of them can be equipped with the M1 Pro or M1 Max chip and each offers unprecedented performance for professional applications. On such hardware you can manipulate millions of polygons in Cinema 4D. And you don't have to do it all in an editing studio.
Liquid Retina XDR. The best display ever found in a notebook has an extremely wide dynamic range and a million-to-one contrast ratio. HDR images come to life in photos, movies and games, capturing the eye with perfectly polished reflections, rich detail in low-light areas and vivid, natural colors.
Hot innovations in cooling. Advanced thermal systems move 50 percent more air even at low fan speeds. And because the Apple chip is so powerful, many of your daily tasks won't even turn them on.
It is impossible to work today without remote communication. So in the new MacBook Pro, we doubled the camera resolution to 1080p and used a lens with an iris that lets in more light. Combined with a larger sensor with more efficient pixels, the camera performs 2x better in low light.
Surround sound. Thanks to the six-speaker system and advanced algorithms, when MacBook Pro plays music or a movie with Dolby Atmos technology, it fills the space with sound, creating a sophisticated, three-dimensional soundstage. Add to these sounds the Liquid Retina XDR display and you have a true mobile cinema.
Thousands of miniature LEDs are grouped into individually controllable local dimming zones for fine adjustment of brightness and contrast.
The light is effectively mixed and shaped by the ultra-thin construction of seven optical layers and diffusers.
Thin-film transistors deliver charge to the pixels 2 times faster, enabling refresh rates up to 120Hz.
For the first time, the MacBook Pro Magic Keyboard features a full-height row of function keys. This is a tribute to professionals who like to feel the reaction of mechanical keys. There are also new keyboard shortcuts for Spotlight and Do Not Disturb. Plus, Touch ID now has a new touch ring that guides your finger as you unlock your Mac quickly, easily, and securely.
