The headphones of the HyperX Cloud Alpha are padded with shape memory foam. It always returns to its original form and offers a long service life. The sturdy aluminum headband makes it possible to adjust the size of the headset for a good fit and comfort. With its low overall weight of only 336 grams, the HyperX Cloud Alpha can still be worn comfortably even after several hours. A volume control with mute switch for the microphone is integrated in the cable.

The HyperX Cloud Alpha has an excellent condenser microphone , which is located on the left ear cup and is removable. The unidirectional microphone guarantees a natural-looking, clear voice transmission and very good shieldingagainst annoying background noise. The connection cable, which is also removable, is fabric-covered, 1.3 meters long and equipped with a 4-pin jack plug. A 2-meter adapter cable separates the signal into a 3.5-mm microphone connection and a 3.5-mm headphone connection and extends the entire cable length to 3.3 meters.
