The loudest and most annoying noises a keyboard can make are from large keys like space bar and enter. Huge key stabilizers are used for better pressing of large keys.

The main layers of sound insulation of the keyboard are rubber dampers in the gap between the body and the PCB (where the switches themselves are attached). The first layer dampens resonant sounds inside the body, the second layer dampens the sound of keystrokes when pressed, and a rubber damper under the space bar reduces vibrations caused by hitting the key. Stabilizers attach to a printed circuit board (PCB). This type of mounting significantly reduces mechanical vibrations and sound resonances. The PCB mount type is standard for custom made keyboards. Compatibility with this standard provides a wide range of options for future keyboard upgrades.

During assembly of the keys on the conveyor, the stabilizers go through a manual waxing process. Lubricated stabilizers ensure a tactile grip of the keyboard movement and a pleasant sound.

G3ms switches are made by combining the forces of Gateron and Dark Project. Gaterons are known for their silky smoothness, which is even smoother than Cherry switches.

The G3ms switches are the first switches designed by the Dark Project engineering team. The improved mechanical design has a smaller connection area between the stem (the moving part) and the housing, thus reducing the frictional surface. The G3ms are lubricated during the manufacturing process for an iconic smooth, smooth click.
